Blog, Baby, Blog!

After a couple of years away, I have decided to get back into the blogging game.

I actually hate blogging.  It reminds me of keeping a diary.  And unlike Miss Oprah Winfrey, my experiences with keeping a diary were not the best, I must say.  

When I was a young teenager, I kept a diary until Papa Ragú found it.  Which would have been fine - except in my diary, I was writing about my love of  Boy George, Pete Burns (and all things androgynous) and of sneaking off in the middle of the night to The Chelsea Piers.  I would hang out with the girls from the various "houses" and we'd dance on the tables until the wee hours of the morning!  

It was all fun & games until Papa Ragú showed up one night by surprise - and might I add - uninvited.  To this very day, I still cannot listen to Dead Or Alive's "You Spin Me Round" without a bad memory of a disapproving Papa Ragú looking up at me while I was spinning, round, like a record - on a picnic table on Christopher Street & The West Side Highway.

Welcome to My Life.

So I will try to keep it up this time, and thrill the tens of people who will read this (besides Mama Ragú) with the awkward stories of the awkward moments of my awkward life.

And who knows, maybe I will actually enjoy blogging this time around.
